Piano sound

Grand Piano: Yamaha Disklavier Pro Piano Multisamples, performed and recorded by Dr. Mikhail Krishtal and his team at Zenph Studios for OLPC. Soundfont built and modified by roberto@zenvoid.org for the FreePats project.

Used under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence. The full licence text ships inside the app.

Modified for Motif Studio: three of the original five velocity layers are kept (remapped to cover velocities 97–127, 74–96 and 0–73) to reduce the app's size. The samples themselves are unaltered.

Band and ensemble sounds

GeneralUser GS by S. Christian Collins, the General MIDI bank behind the backing band, the metronome and the game cues. Used under its licence, which permits distribution including commercially. Project page.

Music

Every bundled song is a public-domain composition, sequenced in house for this app. No third-party arrangements or recordings are included.

Art and voice

The illustrations, character art and the spoken teacher's voice were produced for Motif Studio and are used with the rights to do so. Nothing in the app is scraped, sampled from a recording, or reused from another product.
